Based from our boathouse at Rancho del Rio, our Upper Colorado River trips offer mild rapids (Class I-II) and occasional Class III rapids at higher water flow. These river trips are great for beginners to the seasoned boater. Feel free to bring the entire family on this adventure, as this is our most popular trip for people of all ages. Where the gold rush began, Idaho Springs, located just 30 minutes outside of Denver, was actually the first city in all of Colorado, founded in 1859. This quaint town is nestled in the foothills of some of Colorado’s best mountains and holds a unique place in the state’s history. As the place where the Colorado gold rush started, this little town holds a lot of secrets, including one of the best river rafting areas in the state!

The Blue River is the best rafting experience in Summit County. The Blue River runs through a beautiful rugged landscape of Colorado ranch lands tucked up next to the mountains of the Gore Range.
