WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM THE STAFF AT COLORADO RAFTING COMPANY?
- CRC staff are screened at the start of each work day to ensure they are symptom-free.
- Our staff will be expected to wear a face covering at all times except while on the river, rock, trail, or bike.
- Robust cleaning routines have been implemented for all gear and surfaces guests come in contact with over the course of the rafting experience. This includes sprayers for gear, sanitizer foggers of vehicles and using a COVID specific
disinfectant with all cleaning supplies.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT OF OUR GUESTS?
- Completed online release forms are required in advance of arrival.
- Any guest experiencing symptoms of COVID must not arrive for their trip and contact us immediately to reschedule.
- Arrive with your own face covering. See below to learn what type of covering is recommended and where they will be required.
- Arrive in activity-appropriate attire, as this will help to minimize time in our changing rooms and bathrooms. Our suggested on-river attire includes bathing suits, synthetic long sleeve or short sleeve shirts, quick drying shorts, secure footwear (sport sandals or tennis shoes – please no bare feet, flip flops, or Croc sandal). Shoes must have secure straps over the top of the foot and behind the ankle.
- Be prepared to utilize our wetsuits, splash tops, booties or other rental gear based on current conditions.
- For rock climbing, mountain biking, and hiking our suggested attire includes synthetic long sleeve or short sleeve shirts, quick drying pants or shorts, rain jacket and or pants, and adequate footwear.
OUR SANITIZING & SOCIAL DISTANCE PRACTICES
- We are following state and county guidelines regarding capacities and cleaning / sanitizing
- All sanitizers used are specifically registered with the EPA as effective against COVID.
- Our staff will utilize specific tools such as foggers for vehicles and a powered sprayer for rafts and other gear.
- In order to follow distancing standards the office will be limited to 6 people at once.
- Hand wash stations and / or hand sanitizer will be provided at all public entrances, in vehicles, and for meals during your ACE package, 3/4 day, full-day, and overnight raft trips.
- Cleaned & sanitized after each use using COVID specific solution: Personal Flotation Device (PFD) and helmets, Rafts/Frames, Guest paddles, Wetsuits, Splash Jackets, River Booties or any other rental item, climbing harnesses and gear, ropes, and hiking poles. Shuttle vehicles – High touch areas are sanitized throughout the day by shuttle drivers
- Cleaned & sanitized daily using COVID specific solution: Retail space, Changing Rooms, Bathrooms – Additional cleanings of high touch areas throughout the day
WHEN TO WEAR FACE COVERINGS:
- When approaching or interacting with CRC staff or other guests
- When entering indoor spaces – i.e. office, changing rooms, and bathrooms
- During the shuttle ride to and from your activity
- All guests are required to arrive at CRC with their own face covering. If you plan to wear a face covering on the river you are encouraged to choose a synthetic neck gaiter sun buff since this type of covering is more functional and breathable when wet. Face coverings are NOT required to be worn by guests while on the raft, rock, trail, or bike.
- SYNTHETIC NECK GAITER SUN BUFF is appropriate for check-in and indoor spaces of our facility, the shuttle ride, and is recommended for on-river or during activity use if you choose to wear a face covering.
- COTTON OR PAPER MASK is appropriate for check-in and indoor spaces of our facility, and the shuttle ride, but is NOT recommended for during activity use.
HOW WILL YOUR DAY LOOK WITH US?
GUEST CHECK-IN
- All guests are required to complete online release forms in advance of arrival. A link will be sent to guests after making a reservation which can also be found on our website.
- Outdoor check-in will be available on most days. If outdoor check-in is not available, guests will check-in inside our office with additional spacing provided between check-in locations and a maximum of 6 people at a time
- Only one member of each party is needed during check-in
- Check-in locations will be spaced apart to comply with distancing guidelines
- Guests may meet guides at trailhead during certain activities (bike, hike, climb)
ARRIVE PREPARED
- Please arrive in attire ready for your activity so you can avoid using our changing rooms.
- Our suggested on-river attire includes bathing suits, synthetic long sleeve or short sleeve shirts, quick drying shorts, secure footwear (sport sandals or tennis shoes – please no bare feet, flip flops, or Croc sandal). Shoes must have secure straps over the top of the foot and behind the ankle.
- For rock climbing, mountain biking, and hiking our suggested attire includes synthetic long sleeve or short sleeve shirts, quick drying pants or shorts, rain jacket and or pants, and adequate footwear.
- Medications are encouraged to stay with the guest so they don’t have to be passed between you and your guide.
TRANSPORTATION
- Increased space will be given within each vehicle to follow distancing standards.
- Shuttle vehicles will be operated with a maximum of 10 people and within 2 households. Not including the guide. A household are guests living in the same house.
- All vehicles are cleaned and sanitized daily using COVID specific solution and vehicle fogger. High touch areas are sanitized throughout the day by shuttle drivers.
- Windows will remain open whenever conditions allow.
- Hand sanitizer will be used upon entering and exiting the vehicles.
ACTIVITY EXPERIENCE
- You will have a professional guide on each of our activities
- Each group or raft will be booked to a maximum of 10 people within 2 of the same household, not including the guide(s)
- It is up to the guide’s discretion if he/she wants to use a face covering while on the river or guiding on rock, bike, or trail. It is strongly recommended that guides wear face coverings as much as possible during the activity when possible and when not able to maintain physical distancing.
- Guests will be encouraged to tip guides through Venmo, Paypal, ect. to further minimize contact.
